Kirknewton Church
Well worth a visit for these reasons:
1. The relief in the wall showing the adoration of the magi…but they are wearing kilts.
2. The thick stone walls reminiscent of troubled border reiver times.
3. The resting place of Josephine Butler, a rather special social reformer.

Ad Gefrin – storyboards
Ad Gefrin…just a short way outside the Valley is a strange place. Beyond the storyboards ( below ) and the iconic goats heads there is little to see. But catch it at the right time, maybe in the early evening when all is quiet and the evening light is dimming and this becomes quite a magical place.
