Where is Hethpool Mill?
A short distance from the ancient village of Hethpool, within the College Valley. Twelve miles to the north west of Wooler on the road to kirk Yetholm.
What is the “College Valley”?
Basically a private estate with over 12,000 acres of wilderness. It includes the Cheviot itself and is also crossed by both St Cuthberts and the Pennine Ways. Vehicular access is limited to the public , but as a guest in the Mill you will have access to the quiet roads.
What is the Mill like?
A recent conversion with emphasis on space, open planning and a warm and pleasant holiday house.
What is there to do around here?
Well you get peace and quiet. No neighbours, no light pollution and over 100 kms of paths, bridleways and walking. The Valley is well known for wildlife and offers great walking and cycling. You can even bring your own horse!
Outside the Valley you have North Northumberland with some great attractions. The lovely sandy beaches of Bamburgh are only 24 miles away and you can also visit places like Alnwick Castle and Cragside which are both within an easy day trip.
How do we find out more?

just how comfy can you get?
This painting, taken from slightly down the valley and looking towards the Mill comes from local artist Joe Hush.
